Managing Director
David Foley is a Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years of experience in the UK property investment sector. He was a Director of Chesterton PLC before leaving to establish DJ Foley & Co (now DJ Foley Ltd) in 1993.
David has expertise in all sectors of the commercial investment property market, including retail, offices, industrial, leisure, and residential. Over the years, he has advised on the valuation of billions of pounds worth of commercial property assets. He enjoys great loyalty from his clients, some of whom have been with him since the business was established over 30 years ago.
David’s experience in the property investment and valuation sectors enables him to continuously review the firm’s managed properties from the perspective of an investor, rather than purely as a property manager. This approach allows us, as a firm, to be proactive rather than reactive with our managed properties, as we strive to protect and enhance value on behalf of our clients.
In his spare time, David is an avid sports fan, holding a season ticket with Bristol City Football Club and regularly attending Bristol Bears games. He is the Chair of the Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) Advisory Board and a Foundation Governor at St Bonaventure’s School in Bishopston. After five years of service, David recently stepped down as Vice Chair and Trustee of the mental health charity Bristol Mind.
